Alexander MURRAY was obviously born several years before he was mentioned as a son of William MURRAY of Traquair in April of 1466.

Alexander MURRAY was married to Gelis COCKBURN, the third daughter of William COCKBURN of Henderland and his wife Egidia (Gelis) FRASER.  Alexander died before 1492 when his wife Gelis Cockburn MURRAY and deceased father (William MURRAY of Traquair) were mentioned concerning the lands of Schillinglaw.  Gelis Cockburn MURRAY was still alive in 1506.

i.  William MURRAY, who was born some years before 1492.
